This partial home renovation focused mainly on the first floor of the house. Some of the interior architecture was remodeled to help with the flow of the home. The living space of the kitchen was extended into what once was a garage, adding a second kitchen for Passover, and lots of storage space. My role in this home renovation was to modernize the outdated design yet still keep a traditional style.

The goal of this project was to hand sketch a design for a bedroom with a proper perspective, using shading techniques to add depth. I also had to come up with a design plan for the bedroom as well as a bathroom using an assigned floor plan.

Presentation Board and 3D Model

Programs Used: SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign

Academy of Art University, MFA, Spring 2020

Opening a couture boutique has always been a dream of mine, therefore, I chose to design BK Bridal Boutique with the floorplan provided to me for this project. I added some interior walls so that the layout would function better for the boutique. The 3D model I built using SketchUp, helps the client visualize the design intent and potential for the boutique.

This home was fully renovated/built, in 2020. It was kept as a one-story ranch with a finished basement. I'd describe this design style as classic elegance meets contemporary. The home was designed to be energy efficient with smart technology and LED lighting, saving on electricity costs. There are several floor-to-ceiling doors and many large windows flooding the space with natural light. The home keeps to a neutral color palette allowing the lush greenery and landscaping to stand out.
